Research Collaboration

Opaque has a long history collaborating with research institutions to tackle some of the most unusual problems in academic research.

We collaborate with universities, not-for-profit companies, Fortune 500 R&D Labs and government departments. We design and build research tools, help transfer existing processes into Digital and XR applications, and help to uncover the human impact of new technologies.

As part of these collaborations, we have designed several award winning VR applications and tools, including a system to help visualise one of the world's largest longitudinal studies as a part of the Big Data VR challenge.

Earthlight

Earthlight is a narrative-driven game telling a story only few people will ever experience - that of human space flight.  

In Earthlight: Spacewalk, live the journey of Ana, one of NASA's brightest and most talented astronauts, as she performs a spacewalk on the International Space Station.

In Earthlight: Lunar Mission, team up with other players to explore a near-future moon base in walk-around, untethered Virtual Reality.
